TITLE: Lead DevOps Engineer

Duties: Architect resilient hybrid infrastructure to deliver system integration between public cloud services and on-prem data centers. Infrastructure must provide Enterprise Applications with highly available fault tolerant and elastic environments. Design build and maintain pipelines to provide rapid feature delivery for Enterprise Applications in a multi-environment life cycle. Utilize a consistent DevOps approach to improve all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle and ensure end-to-end quality across functions. Monitor troubleshoot maintain and continuously improve building packaging and deployment processes. Implement monitoring/alerting solutions to provide 24X7 production support. Act as escalation point to troubleshoot hardware and operating system problems and suggest possible performance tuning. Implement self-healing strategies where possible. Work with development teams to architect scalable and maintainable solutions. Create and maintain policies and technical documentation. Work on advanced complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Seek out and implement new technologies to continually simplify the environment while improving security and performance. Provides leadership role for the DevOps work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Position is 100% onsite.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field of study and four (4) years of experience as a as a Web Developer Graduate Teaching Assistant or related role where experience was gained. Masters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field of study and two (2) years of experience as a Web Developer Graduate Teaching Assistant or related role where experience was gained.

SPECIAL SKILLS:Also requires experience in the following:

• Provisioning and administering services on public cloud solutions;
• Container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker Swarm;
• Configuration management tools like Ansible;
• CICD platforms such as GitlabCI Octopus and Jenkins;
• Version control tools such as GitLab and GitHub;
• GNU/Linux and Windows OS;
• Source build tools such as Maven Gradle MSBuild and Nuget;
• Relational/ NoSQL databases and SQL programming;
• Scripting languages such as Bash Zsh Python and Powershell;
• Monitor solutions such as Prometheus Grafana SolarWinds GCP Monitoring New Relic Status Cake and ;
• Log aggregation and parsing;
• Network infrastructure data center operations and security protocols; and
• Task management/ documentation tools such as Jira Confluence and Trello.
