Freelance Trainer Hardware Security Module (HSM)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive training on HSM fundamentals architecture and deployment models.
  

• Explain On-premises HSM vs Cloud HSM (AWS CloudHSM Azure Key Vault Google Cloud HSM).
  

• Conduct detailed sessions on High Availability Disaster Recovery clustering and performance tuning.
  

• Provide hands-on labs covering key generation secure key storage partition management and PKI integration.
  

• Demonstrate hardware-based encryption digital signatures and hashing operations.
  

• Cover compliance audit readiness and security best practices.
  

• Develop training materials lab guides use cases and assessments.
  

• Support trainees with troubleshooting practical scenarios and real-time problem solving.
  

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in HSM deployment and administration (On-prem Cloud HSM).
  

• Practical knowledge of AWS CloudHSM Azure Key Vault and Google Cloud HSM.
  

• Deep understanding of cryptography fundamentals key lifecycle management and PKI/CA concepts.
  

• Experience in configuring HSM clustering HA/DR and backup strategies.
  

• Knowledge of access management security controls user/role provisioning and audit logging.
  

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS FIPS 140-2/3 GDPR ISO 27001.
  

• Experience in integrating HSMs using REST APIs or SDKs (preferred).
  

• Hands-on experience with vendors like Thales Utimaco Entrust SafeNet etc.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Security certifications: CISSP CISM CCSP CEH (preferred).
  

• Cloud certifications (AWS Azure GCP).
  

• Advanced exposure to cryptography and enterprise key management.
  

• Experience in large-scale HSM migration or integration projects
