Site Safety Coordinator (SSC-B) Construction
Overall Purpose
As the Site Safety Coordinator (SSC-B) you will play a key role in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment on construction sites. Acting on behalf of the Owner/Client you will proactively coordinate health safety and logistics across all contractors and project phases. Your work ensures compliance with EU and local legislation protects workers and enables smooth and efficient project execution from mobilization to handover.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate health safety and logistics in all common areas of the construction site.
Update and manage Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSP) and Site-Specific Logistic Plans (SSLP).
Lead design safety reviews and ensure safety is embedded in project planning and execution.
Organize and lead contractor start-up meetings inductions and toolbox talks.
Monitor daily operations conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with EU/local legislation.
Suspend unsafe activities and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Support site logistics signage and access control to maintain a safe work environment.
Lead weekly coordination and safety meetings with contractors.
Produce regular safety reports audits and trend analyses to improve safety performance continuously.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Solid experience in construction site coordination and health & safety management.
Strong knowledge of relevant directives and local occupational health & safety regulations.
Proven ability to lead safety meetings audits and contractor coordination activities.
Skilled in preparing and updating safety documentation and reports.
Confident decision-maker able to intervene and suspend unsafe work when required.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with contractors clients and project teams.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends propose countermeasures and drive improvements.
Fluent in English (written and spoken). Danish language skills are an advantage but not required.
