Position Overview:

The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for supporting all area PLS store locations. The candidate will initiate perform and oversee preventative maintenance and repair procedures. He/she will also oversee small improvement projects and services as needed. This position will report directly toDirectorof Operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Initiate perform and oversee maintenance projects for all area PLS store locations.
• Perform repairs such as basic electrical plumbing carpentry and painting assignments.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform necessary repairs.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed and in a timely manner.
• Develop scopes of work for small improvements/services and seek out qualified contractors to bid the work.
• Obtain estimates for supplies repair parts and order parts as needed.

Job Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years of related experience in facility maintenance.
• Previous experience with basic electrical and carpentry repairs simple plumbing and painting.
• Must have a valid Drivers License a good driving record and reliable transportation.
• Available to work an8-hourshift 40 hours a week.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Travel within PLS business market area of Chelsea Boston East Boston Dorchester Roslindale Medford Revere

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 75 lbs. without frequent assistance.
• Must be able to climb up and down ladders and stand or stoop for long periods of time.
