Job Description:
Job Title: Warehouse Lead. Schedule: M-F 8-5 PM but might work Saturdays Contract: 6 months with possible extension
Top 3 Skills: Kitting Experience is a HUGE Plus for this role Cycle counting experience Oracle experience is a huge plus
Typically works within a warehouse sector and a group of between 8 - 15 operators LWB1 and LWB2
Responsible for the safety ergonomic and 5S behavior within the sector
Responsible for training and certification of operators LWB1 and LWB2 and contributing to the updates of the versatility and training matrix
Required to complete LWB1 and LWB2 activities as needed
Leads the sector SIM1 meeting
Basic problem solving or simple maintenance as required
May be responsible for temporarily moving or shifting individual operators from one position or sector to another depending on changes in demand or priorities
May be responsible for (contributing to the) creation/updating Operational Work Standard (OWS) and Job Breakdown Sheet (JBS)
Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to)
Ensure compliance with HSE and 5S rules throughout the sector including reporting and managing incidents and near misses
Support inventory accuracy & correction operations are realized
Drive the actions to get service level quality environment process lead time maintenance & ensures productivity goals are reached
Lead SIM cycle 1 according to SPS rules ensuring the quality of information provided to the warehouse supervisor for SIM 2
Make sure operators are trained & validates training levels
Drive in real-time daily adjustments of staff according to the needs and job rotation
Key contributor to the work instruction (physical tasks and IT tasks)
Request to Order Management the replenishment of consumables not managed by ROP in the system
Contribute or lead continuous improvement actions
Responsible for the continuous supply of materials to one or more production or assembly areas
Responsible for kitting materials on the production line to ensure all parts of order required are at point of origination to keep line moving at steady pace
Responsible for picking parts from Kanban or storage areas and placing the parts into a storage bin (kit)
Ensures correct parts are kept in the appropriate quantities to support production and assembly requirements
May take parts from inventory area and ensures Water Spider is kept stocked at appropriate levels of inventory
Performs repetitive material supply functions following detailed work direction and guidelines
May operate forklift truck or hand truck for delivery or picking of parts and supplies
Sorts and counts parts and supplies and logs inventory
Inspects parts for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
May trace or track lost parts and supplies
May maintain department database prepare routine reports and file kitting records
Follows established departmental policies procedures and objectives continuous quality improvement objectives and safety environmental and/or infection control standards
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
Document material movement using computer tablets
Establishes and maintains a safe and healthful working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements
Performs other tasks as may be requested to assure the effective and continuous utilization of assets.
