Functional area: Operations & Maintenance
The Solar Operations team at RWE Renewables ensures the efficient and reliable operation of our solar plants. The team monitors performance coordinates maintenance activities and analyzes equipment failures and key operational addition Solar Operations supports strategic decision-making through reporting and analysis and actively contributes to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
About the role
As an intern youll be involved in a variety of tasks that will give you a complete view of solar plant operations. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Collecting cleaning and structuring data from SCADA and internal platforms
- Preparing basic performance summaries (power trends alarms availability)
- Building and maintaining simple automation tools in Excel Python and SQL (e.g. imports filters small calculations)
- Updating and improving recurring reporting templates used by the team
- Keeping trackers documents and datasets organized and up to date
- Supporting maintenance follow-up by highlighting anomalies or missing standardize processes so analyses are consistent and repeatable
- Collaborating with different departments when exchanging information or preparing reports
Job requirements and experience
Were looking for someone proactive flexible and eager to learn with a mix of analytical and organizational skills. Ideally you have:
- A balanced mix of technical and management skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to organize tasks effectively
- Basic knowledge of Excel Power BI and SQL (or willingness to learn)
- Good level of English
