Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate must be located near a Canadian Blood Services site (Ottawa or Toronto) and will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors our staff and our communities. About the Role:
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a temporary full-time Portfolio Reporting Analyst to join our dynamic Enterprise Portfolio Program and Project Management Office (ePMO).
The Enterprise Portfolio Program and Project Management Office (ePMO) is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by defining organization-wide minimum standards for portfolio program project and change management with a focus on corporate projects and multi-year planning. They partner with divisional teams to deliver manage and lead select corporate projects and provide change management expertise and support for these projects.
The Portfolio Reporting Analyst is a key member of the Enterprise Program and Project Management Office and is responsible for building and optimizing reporting infrastructure that supports organizational portfolio management and resource capacity planning. The successful candidate will have a background in data analysis and report development with a proven ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights and understandable visuals. They will be instrumental in designing documenting and implementing enhanced reporting solutions using Power BI and other data tools to support executives with corporate decision making.
Formula for Success
Reporting Infrastructure & Visualization: Collaborate with the Portfolio Manager to design scalable reporting systems and develop advanced Power BI dashboards for visualizing KPIs resource utilization and project health.
Data Integration & Quality: Integrate distinct data systems to create a holistic performance view ensuring data governance (availability accuracy integrity) across all reporting platforms.
Optimization & Documentation: Automate workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy and thoroughly document reporting processes data flows and dashboard logic for transparency and repeatability.
Strategic Analysis: Analyze large datasets to uncover trends forecast capacity and provide essential ad hoc and continuous analysis to directly inform strategic decision-making and support executive leadership.
Leadership & Change Management: Exhibit strong interpersonal leadership by facilitating meetings resolving conflict collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and actively sponsoring leading and supporting necessary organizational changes.
