Sales Associate
Reports to: Sales Manager
Position Summary:
The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience while supporting sales operations through accurate data entry and order management. This role processes customer orders ensures timely follow-up and provides essential sales support to the team. The Sales Associate works cross functionally across the organization to provide customers with industry leading customer experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate and interact daily with customers through telephone email fax Price Guide Pro and other methods to provide industry leading customer experience.
- Occasional interactions through trade shows customer visits counter sales and industry events.
- Perform data entry of customer orders and returns.
- Assist with product selection with the customers input.
- Perform customer outreach.
- Record customer interactions.
- Record customer issues and discrepancies.
- Work with customers to solve order issues as they arise.
- Participate in seminars and other training as required.
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures.
- May attend industry events (Company Events Trade Shows and Motorsports Events) as a strong brand representative.
- Work in team environment.
- Promote and maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with procedures policies training and regulations.
- Ensure established policies and procedures are followed.
- Participate in continuous improvement project team activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Significant and detailed product knowledge of performance aftermarket automotive parts required.
- Significant hands-on experience working on automotive/mechanical projects required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience with SxE and IRMS preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
- Must be Sales growth motivated to increase sales and maintain established margins.
- Must be motivated to exceed expectations for excellent customer satisfaction.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other job-related equipment and software.
- Ability to communicate effectively (clear and concise) through writing speaking active listening and presentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to approach conflicts with vendors customers and colleagues in a constructive manner.
- Ability to read analyze and interpret data.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Excellent organization skills and detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management.
- Ability to work both independently within a team and cross-functionally with other departments/stakeholders.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision/guidance and must be self-directed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Ability to develop and foster business relationships.
- Willing to participate in Company designated training.
- Must have knowledge of and comply with the policies and procedures contained in the company handbook.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to practice safe work habits.
Physical Demands:
This is an office type position that requires sitting standing walking stooping kneeling and use of hands. This position requires the operation of basic office equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
