Combination Stockkeeper

Description of Job:

Receives records verifies moves and issues material to jobs departments storage areas warehouse transfers and customer orders. Operates lift trucks overhead cranes and power driven saws. Performs various system transactions via computer input.

Carries out stock duties in receiving at the saw and within the storeroom that correspond with other operations going on within the factory. These duties involve dealing with people from within and outside the department. Stocks shelves prepares kits issues materials parts tools and fixtures. Performs physical count and related inventory duties.

Specific duties vary with assigned locations may include but is not limited to: sole responsibility for the storeroom(s) receiving (purchased and/or make items etc.) marking items for movement issuing and delivering items to their next location preparing items for shipment. Participates in coordinating progress of work through assigned area. Expedites movement of parts and materials including movement by hand cart lift truck crane or tow motor as necessary to their next destination and/or from their last location. Pick up parts within local area if requested by supervisor. Able to go from one task to the next without supervision.

Develops an understanding for interrelationship of the following: products structure materials flow and production processes. Using this understanding trouble shoots and corrects problem areas as they arise. These areas include but are not limited to: bills of materials product structure and operational routings. Demonstrates the willingness and ability to solve these problems on their own directly or through the proper channels.

To requisition maintenance supplies and services as deemed by the department supervisor.

Maintains file of crane and tow motor reports work orders (including safety work orders) and orders uniforms. Maintains Inspection reports for test center oil room gas pumps and may also do inspections on Hazardous storage areas when directed by supervisor.

Identified item requirements that are short determines how these shorts can be filled and ensures the process is started to fill these shorts. All physical receipts moves and issues must be recorded immediately via computer any situation when this cannot be done notifies the supervisor immediately. Transactional accuracy will be monitored excessive or consistent errors can and will result in disciplinary action.

Moves tanks heavy parts materials and equipment throughout the factory or grounds with appropriate equipment. Locates and places tanks heads plate storage areas and maintains these areas. Records movements via various computer transactions.

Cuts metal stock using power saws measuring devices and hand tools. Sets up saws records stock cut and issues checks and records stock received physically and via various computer transactions.

Performs a variety of clerical and other tasks that are not always well defined such as; gather equipment specifications quote maintenance parts pick up parts within the city within reasonable distance assists maintenance department employees as well as others etc.

Maintains a clean orderly and safe work place throughout all areas of responsibility.

In the event no candidates meet the minimum requirements for the job the Company may elect to fill the opening by training under the provisions of Par. 13 of the Agreement.
