TITLE:GRC & Business Resilience Associate Manager
WHAT YOULL DO:TheGRC & Business Resilience Associate Manager at Duck Creek Technologiesis responsible forsupporting the development implementation and maintenance of governance compliance and business resiliency initiatives. This role focuses onassistingin the execution of frameworks and processes to ensure adherence to industry standards regulatory requirements and organizational policies with a strong emphasis on compliance with global operational resilience regulations such as the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and similar laws. The Associate Manager will work collaboratively across departments to integrate governance and business resiliency practices into operational processes and provide tactical support for compliance and risk management efforts.
Governance
Support the implementation of governance frameworks for key business processes including data management business and operational resilience and third-party risk management.
Assistin drafting reviewing and updating policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal and organizationalobjectives.
Contribute to the development of training materials and programs related to governance and compliance for internal teams.
Compliance
Assistin monitoring adherence to global laws and regulations (e.g. GDPR CCPA) supporting policy updates and compliance assessments.
Participate in internal audits and external assessments to ensure compliance with established governance and regulatory frameworks.
Research and stay informed about evolving compliance and governance requirementsprovidingsummarized insights to senior team members.
Business Resiliency
Support the maintenance and enhancement of the Business Resiliency Program framework to ensure readiness for potential disruptions.
Assistin the development and implementation of strategies and processes to enhance business resilience including compliance with operational resilience regulations in relevantjurisdictions(EU UK US APAC etc.).
Assistin coordinating Business Impact Analysis (BIA) exercises toidentifycritical processes and dependencies.
Help develop and update Business Continuity Plans (BCP) in alignment with enterprise risk and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate andparticipatein testing simulations and tabletop exercises for the BCP documenting outcomes and supporting improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with business units and IT teams to integrate resiliency strategies into operational practices.
Third-Party Risk Management Support
Assistin evaluating third-party vendors to ensure their readiness and alignment with Duck Creeks business resiliencyobjectives focusing on their ability to support critical operations during disruptions.
Support the assessment of vendor business continuity and disaster recovery plans as part of the due diligence process to mitigate risks to organizational resilience.
Helpmaintaindocumentation and tracking of third-party dependencies thatimpactbusiness continuity providing updates to stakeholders to ensure preparedness for potential interruptions.
WHAT YOUVE DONE:
Bachelors orMastersDegree and/or equivalent experience relevant to functionalarea.
4 years of applicable experience in governance compliance risk management or business resiliency; or equivalentadditionalyears of experience.
Basic understanding of governance frameworks and business resiliency program requirements including global regulations such as DORA and their impact on business operations.
Demonstrated ability to support cross-functional projects and align operational tasks with complianceobjectives.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES & BEHAVIORS:
PreferredMasters degree in Business Administrationora relatedfield.
Preferred Certified Business Continuity Management Professional (CBCMP) Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or equivalent certification.
Experience supporting business resiliency or continuity planning initiatives preferred.
Familiarity with third-party risk management processes and vendor assessments from a resiliency perspective preferred.
Foundational knowledge of governance compliance privacy and business resiliency principles including risk management frameworks policy development and regulatory requirements.
Strong knowledge of business continuity disaster recovery and organizational resilience practices with the ability to assess impacts and implement strategies that ensure operational continuity during disruptions.
Strong analytical skills to assess risksidentifygaps and support the design and implementation of effective governance compliance and business resilience solutions.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document processes convey findings and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally build partnerships and foster a collaborative approach to achieving governance and resiliencyobjectives.
High ethical standards and commitment tomaintainingcompliance confidentiality and organizational integrity.
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy consistency and thoroughness in governance and resiliency processes.
Willingness to stay current on emerging governance compliance privacy and resiliency trends regulations and best practices and adapt strategies accordingly.
