About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for the successful applicant to help workforce and overall operational expenditure modelling for the clinical activity to occur in the Outpatient Building (OB) and latterly the Inpatient Building (IB). This will include analysis to help production plan clinic theatre and radiology capacity and utilisation in the OB to inform our OB workforce requirements. More broadly analysis and support for the NDH Benefits Realisation Plan and performance against health target delivery will also be required to help measure our success in realising the benefits of the investment.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the financial and workforce modelling required to help inform the operational commissioning and go live of the OB and in time IB.
  • Ensure the modelling output aligns with the model of care changes supporting the capital investment.
  • Help lead the development of a whole-of-life capital and operational model for the Southern District to assist in future decision-making for capital investments in the District.
  • Provide day-to-day financial monitoring and reporting advice and support for the Programme Director
  • Develop and compile key business metrics and productivity measures to inform reporting and wider NDH Benefits Realisation Planning.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor level degree qualification in accountancy or financial field with a minimum of five years post graduate experience.
  • Experience in a Finance/Accounting role in a complex project environment preferably in health.
  • Experience in PowerBI (or similar software) analysis and reporting
  • Costing and project accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in operating pro-actively and with initiative and ensuring effective and efficient systems are in place that support the positions functions.
  • Excellent judgement
  • Excellent relationship building and management skills
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines both in individual and team-based scenarios
  • Excellent understanding of stakeholder communications and well-developed communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and operate under pressure in an often-ambiguous environment
