DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and validate C#/.NET-based device drivers including embedded testing on test boards.
- Perform testing and debugging of hardware/software failures on test boards.
- Conduct system-level validation during the tester development phase.
- Execute software and hardware tests and simulations to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Perform hardware testing debugging and automated calibration through software programming.
- Test prototype boards for design verification and compliance.
- Utilize basic lab equipment such as power supplies oscilloscopes DCA power meters and network analyzers for diagnostics and validation.
- Work with STM32 microcontroller-based boards for embedded development and testing.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Electronics) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming using .NET (C#) mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in test and system software development.
- Proven experience in the Test & Measurement domain mandatory.
- Familiarity with hardware integration and bring-up is highly preferred.
- Exposure to optical transceiver testing is an advantage.
- Knowledge of firmware programming is a plus.
- Basic understanding of electronic components and circuits.
- Experience working with test instruments such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Fundamental knowledge of communication protocols like USB and I²C.
Skills
- Strong work ethic combined with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Adaptable and flexible with the capability to thrive in a cross-functional cross-cultural global team environment.
Working Conditions
- The work mode of Finisar Test Development Department India is onsite (5 days at office).
