About The Role:
Were looking for a Senior Risk Adviser to join our Group Risk team atNext playing a pivotal role in developing and embedding our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework across the organisation.
Working closely with the Group Risk Manager and senior stakeholders youll provide expert advice and guidance to help mitigate risks identify opportunities and strengthen our overall resilience.

What Youll Do- Support the ongoing enhancement ofNexts Enterprise Risk Management Framework ensuring processes systems governance and reporting are effective and well maintained.
- Provideadvice and guidance to senior management and key stakeholders on all aspects of risk identification assessment and mitigation.
- Facilitaterisk and governance reviews capturing key decisions and ensuring timely follow-up of actions.
- Help develop and maintainrisk policies standards and methodologies across the Group.
- Deliverrisk awareness training and communication initiatives to promote a strong consistent risk culture.
- Supportrisk and resilience projects contributing insight and analysis to inform senior management decision-making.
- Deputise for the Group Risk Manager at governance meetings and senior stakeholder discussions when required.
- Prepare and presentinsightful management information for Directors Risk Steering Groups and Audit Committees.
- Mentor and provide peer support to risk colleagues ensuring high-quality outputs and continuous improvement.
Youre a confident communicator with a proven track record in practicingEnterprise Risk Management principles and the ability to translate complex risk concepts into pragmatic actions. Youll be adaptable and able to influence senior stakeholders effectively to ensure that they actively consider risk management in their decision making.
Youll ideally bring:
- Proven experience inrisk management internal audit or business assurance. (essential)
- Strongwritten and verbal communication skills with the ability to present clearly to senior audiences.
- A background inFinancial Services Banking or Business Continuity/Resilience. (desirable but not essential)
- Experience inAudit or aBig 4 Management Consultancy (highly desirable)
- Excellentanalytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency withrisk systems and data tools.
- AnInstitute of Risk Management (IRM) qualification (desirable but not essential).
