The Role

Due to recent project wins we are currently seeking a Senior/Associate Structural Engineer to join our Construction Engineering team in Melbourne. Successful candidates will provide specialist staged analysis construction methodology and temporary works design services to some of the biggest contractors constructing Melbournes most significant building and major transport infrastructure projects.

Your duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Detailed structural design of temporary works and associated impacts on permanent works
  • Client liaison in conjunction with Project Directors and Associates regarding current and future projects
  • Active involvement in all your projects including project resource management in conjunction with the Project Directors
  • Successfully deliver current and future projects while supporting RBGs reputation for innovation technical excellence quality and project delivery
  • Proactively collaborating with team members contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables

About You

  • Relevant Engineering qualifications with a focus in Structural Engineering
  • 6-7 years Structural engineering industry experience
  • Experience in the delivery of temporary works design is preferred but not required
  • Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience in the delivery of detailed engineering drawings corresponding with level of duties
  • Solid grounding in steel and concrete design
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated design experience using relevant Structural software
  • Possesses project management and hands-on experience encompassing administrative commercial and technical aspects
  • Submit technical reports of a standard requiring minimal correction; and provide final review of reports
  • Able to work on own initiative and in a team environment
