Minimum Qualifications
A masters degree in library science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association followed by three years of experience in library services.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- This position oversees the development of statewide children and teen programs mainly the Louisiana Readers Choice Program and the Summer Reading Program working with advisory committees taking a lead role in the assessment of services and collections and providing raining to public library staff.
- This position acts as the State E-Rate Coordinator and is responsible for assisting libraries throughout the e-rate process and answers general technology administrative personnel and Louisiana library laws questions along with other State Library consultants.
- This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and credibility as information and services provided must be accurate current and above reproach.
- This position travels extensively throughout the state representing the State Library in a number of vital venues.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type:This position is being filled as a probational appointment. Current permanent status state employees may be required to accept a probational appointment.
Work Schedule:This position is a full-time position that reports in-office at the State Library.Location: This is a full-time position located at the State Library in Baton Rouge LA.
