CLASSROOM ASSISTANT Part Time

Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is a K-8 district. The successful candidate must be able to accomplish the following responsibilities in a friendly efficient and professional manner:

• Assist instructional personnel with the presentation of learning materials.
• Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow-up learning activities.
• Monitor and assist students through drill practice and study activities following the presentation of instructional concepts by teaching personnel.
• Assist in the supervision of small groups of students in the classroom playground and study trip activities.
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

• WORK SCHEDULE:3.92 hours/day 5 days/week Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 12:55 p.m.
• BENEFITS: Benefitspackage includes paid sick leave vacation and holidays (currently observing 14 paid holidays a year).
• REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING:Equivalent to the completionof the twelfth grade; and either an Associates Degree of Arts (AA) or have completed 48 college/university semester units or pass the FUESD proficiency test for this classification; experience workingwith people of various cultures; one (1) year of paid or volunteer experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable supplemented by courses in childcare supervision psychology or guidance; or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
