Job Summary

Multi-Disciplinary Meeting Coordinator

  • Dunedin Hospital Part time (0.6FTE) 24 hours a week
  • Monday to Friday inclusive between the hours of 0800 hrs 1700 hrs
  • Salary between $75201 and $78358 depending on experience per annum pro rata

About the Role

The Multi-Disciplinary Meeting Coordinator will provide an efficient high quality co-ordinated service which facilitates cancer multi-disciplinary meetings designed to provide optimal service delivery to the patients.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure documentation associated with the cancer multi-disciplinary meetings are maintained accurately and available within a timely period.
  • All relevant and pertinent information pertaining to the multi-disciplinary meeting is appropriately documented and available to the attendees prior to the scheduled meeting
  • Maintain electronic patient record systems accurately
  • All electronic data entry is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • The Multi-Disciplinary Meeting Co-ordinator supports Faster Cancer Treatment through assisting with key work in this arena prospectively tracking patients processing key diagnostic and treatment milestones on the Faster Cancer Treatment pathway using the electronic Faster Cancer Treatment solution
  • Effective communication channels are to establish and maintained that provide for robust cohesive and effective information distribution
  • The cancer Multi-Disciplinary Meeting Co-ordinator is responsible for the establishment facilitation and management of multi-disciplinary meetings from which patient management plans are formulated and all relevant stakeholders are informed.
  • The Multi-Disciplinary Meeting Co-ordinator supports Faster Cancer Treatment a Ministry of Health initiative through assisting with key work in this arena prospectively tracking patients processing key diagnostic and treatment milestones on the Faster Cancer Treatment pathway using the electronic Faster Cancer Treatment solution.

  • Have a background in health or health administration
  • Previous experience of working in a clerical/client/professional staffs liaison role ideally within a health care environment
  • Proven computer literacy
  • High attention to detail
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
