Description

At Emory our Health & Well-being team supports the entire Emory enterpriseacross all departments and locations. Team members regularly travel to most sites to deliver in-person programming build relationships and ensure our well-being initiatives are accessible and impactful for all employees. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to engage with a wide range of teams and contribute meaningfully to the culture of well-being at Emory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As part of the Health and Well-being team promotes a culture of health and well-being that addresses the populations health needs.
  • Additionally the Well-being Coordinator will work closely with the team to create integrated programming designed to improve awareness of health and well-being issues and creates opportunities for Emory employees and spouses to engage in well-being activities.
  • Assists the team in answering all the questions about Healthy Emory and questions and/or concerns regarding well-being programs and resources.
  • Identifies opportunities to integrate the five dimensions of well-being (emotional and mental physical social and community financial and learning and career) into Emorys culture.
  • Collaborates with Leaders to drive engagement in well-being activities.
  • Collaborates with the Well-being Specialists to enhance the well-being champion network and provide support and resources at multiple locations.
  • Implements and coordinates project milestones and deadlines.
  • Successfully escalates concerns within the applicable organization and helps drive issue resolution promptly.
  • Creates and facilitates virtual and onsite health education programs and events such as platform education Lunch and Learns workshops and other programs.
  • Assists the senior manager in using operational metrics to define track and report on program activities participation and results and collect well-being champions activity reports.
  • Supports the implementation of onsite health promotion programs including but not limited to biometric screenings flu shots and other events and programs across multiple locations.
  • Utilizes vendor resources where applicable to meet program objectives and support employees and spouses.
  • Attends health events as requested.
  • May participate in the coordination of well-being champion meetings provide support for hosting events monitor the department calendar and inbox monitor purchasing for the department and review communications for the department to ensure consistency with brand guidelines and timeline management.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Public Health Community Health Nutrition Exercise Physiology or related field nor an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
  • One or more health-related certifications strongly preferred (i.e. well-being personal trainer dietitian nutrition etc.).
  • Excellent time management communication presentation and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office systems is desirable.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
