JEVS Care at Home is a trusted leader in delivering compassionate high-quality in-home care services to seniors and individuals with disabilities. We are seeking a dynamic Area Director to oversee our operations department and lead a team of Business Development Specialists focused on driving regional growth.
The Area Director plays a critical leadership role ensuring operational excellence while executing strategic growth initiatives. This position oversees day-to-day operations provides guidance to office leaders and manages Business Development Specialists to expand referral partnerships and increase market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage direct and oversee the Associate Director(s) of assigned office(s).
- Manage direct and oversee the Business Development Specialist(s) of assigned office(s).
- Manage the office/team/business unit in relation to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for example: Gross margin overtime utilization of authorized hours etc.
- Conduct weekly/bi-weekly one-on-one documented Supervision with direct reports to help monitor performance goals current case load issues etc.
- Conduct periodic observations of intakes to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed and proper documentation is being completed in the most efficient manner.
- Conduct an evaluation of overall office/team/business unit success to drive improvements aimed at growth and staff development.
- Establish and nurture relationships with referral sources service coordination agencies and Managed Care Organizations via in-services and networking opportunities. Responsible for the data collection and timely submission of established reports.
- Execute sales and marketing plans supporting public relations efforts as assigned and perform outreach functions including attending health fairs community events and other activities as required.
- Create and work a growth plan that includes retention of current census and active involvement in the community to initiate new business.
- Oversee utilization to ensure that maximum service delivery occurs.
- Strategically plan and budget for sustainable growth of office/team/business unit.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Human Services Business Administration or related field.
- Proven track record of growing a business.
- Experience working in Home Care with The Office of Long-Term Living elderly and/or disabled population helpful.
- Experience with case management/coordination records/utilization management preparing reports or other documentation desirable.
- Minimum 5 years of business development and sales experience.
- Demonstrated Supervisory Experience/Skills. Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
- Strong Organizational Time Management and Follow-through skills required
- Knowledge of HHAeXchange preferred.
Physical Requirements
May require sitting standing or walking on a level surface for periods throughout the day. May require lifting up to 20 pounds. Regional travel up to 25% required to JEVS locations conferences and/or other related functions.
