Join Our Team as a Site Specialist!

Location Holmes Chapel client site

As a Site Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific you will be part of a dynamic team that supports the Customer Channels Group within our Managed Services division. This role is passionate about providing scientific support services ensuring flawless execution in stockroom management order handling and laboratory support. This is an outstanding chance to create a significant impact by improving supply chain and research operations efficiency.

What will you do

  • Perform on-site program replenishments and disbursements including receiving put-away stock rotation cycle counts and detailed replenishment.
  • Conduct customer service activities such as order entry expediting customer service call resolution return goods authorization processing backorders vendor and customer interaction and problem resolution.
  • Deliver direct shipment orders to end users and perform deliveries as needed.
  • Follow well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices SOPs and work instructions taking direction from Supervisors and Team Leads.
  • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific professionally and positively at all customer locations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Proven experience in stock control and warehousing.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • Ability to work based on defined performance goals.

  • Strong desire to serve the customer with excellent interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of personnel at customer sites.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a customer-focused attitude to deliver outstanding service.
  • Proficiency in using a computer and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to work beyond normal business hours and perform overtime as required.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

  • Work primarily at customer locations including office environments shipping/receiving docks stock rooms storage locations and laboratory environments.
  • Extensive walking may be required.
  • Ability to use material handling equipment such as push carts and pallet jacks.
  • Personal protective equipment may be required depending on the area of the building.
  • Ability to lift push and pull 15kgs consistently; may be required to lift 20 kgs.
