About this opportunity:

We are seeking a Staff Asset Reliability Technologist to support our Midstream Pipelines and Terminal operations including storage junctions and Lease Automated Custody Transfer (LACT) sites in the Lloydminster area reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Supervisor.

Provide technical leadership in product selection design implementation troubleshooting and reliability improvement of mechanical equipment across operating assets. While offering guidance to project teams as needed. The ideal candidate has broad expertise in rotating equipment (pumps compressors) and static equipment (pressure vessels exchangers) with a solid understanding of instrumentation and control systems and the ability to interpret P&IDs process flow and cause-and-effect diagrams to optimize Midstream asset lifecycle.

We are a Midstream Pipeline and Terminal company with our Operations Maintenance and Engineering staff in Lloydminster and our Management team in Calgary. This position is within our Husky Midstream General Partnership group (HMGP) in Lloydminster

Work Environment:

  • This position is based in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area.

What youll do:

  • Apply Risk-Based reliability tools such as FMEA and RCM to optimize maintenance and equipment strategies

  • Evaluate Preventive Maintenance activities for effectiveness and efficiency and recommend improvements.

  • Analyze and categorize Production Losses data to identify trends and identify mitigating activities.

  • Leads root cause analysis and drive actions implementation track and look back to ensure effectiveness.

  • Apply reliability engineering tools and statistical methods to evaluate and enhance equipment life cycle and overall reliability performance.

  • Leads Bad Actor Program including data analysis equipment selection and development of recommendations to drive issue elimination.

  • Justifies and leads projects for reliability/availability improvements.

  • Use Life Cycle Costing principles and Reliability Availability and Maintainability (RAM) analysis to drive long-term reliability and plant performance improvements.

  • Proficient in maintenance and reliability best practices ensuring performance metrics and KPIs are effectively aligned with business objectives.

  • Collaborate with Reliability & Maintenance practitioners across the company to transfer knowledge and better define Reliability and Maintenance fundamentals and concepts.

  • Develop and implement asset criticality and critical spare parts programs.

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and registered as a Professional Engineer ().

  • Reliability Technologist diploma or Journeyman trade certificate in related trade.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in reliability with midstream operating refinery upgrading or chemical plant environment.

  • Production selection design implementation troubleshooting and operational experience covering typical mechanical equipment in a product distribution environment.

  • Broad and detailed knowledge of industry standards reliability best practices.

  • Strong working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance System e.g. SAP/Maximo.

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional certificate (CMRP) considered an asset.

  • Prior knowledge of RCFA tools like Causlink is considered an asset.

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 drivers license a satisfactory driving record and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A drivers abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
