Job Summary
Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a well-established Michigan community bank in their search for a Senior Business Banker.
The Senior Business Banker will build retain and expand business relationships while delivering tailored credit and deposit solutions. This role blends strategic relationship management with team leadership ensuring strong portfolio performance exceptional client service and collaborative cross-bank partnership.
Key Responsibilities
Develop manage and grow a portfolio of business clients; proactively renew loans prior to maturity.
Execute a structured calling program for existing and prospective customers to drive new business.
Evaluate loan requests analyze credit strength structure financing solutions and present recommendations to management.
Cross-sell cash management consumer residential and merchant services to deepen relationships.
Maintain accurate credit files financial reporting and risk documentation.
Stay informed on financing programs to support business clients.
Mentor and coach business bankers to support team success.
Represent the bank in the community and participate in business development events.
Provide feedback to leadership regarding market opportunities and competitive trends.
Ensure compliance with all bank policies regulatory requirements and BSA/AML standards.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Finance or related field.
710 years of experience in banking or financial services.
Strong commercial credit knowledge and underwriting experience.
Proven ability to develop business relationships and drive portfolio growth.
Leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop team members.
Strong communication decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of depository and cash management services.
Highly organized proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
