Pay Rate:

Journeyman I start at an hourly rate of $38.25/hr.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Eligible for employment in the US.
  • Minimum high school graduate GED equivalent or equivalent work experience
  • At least three (3) years of work experience in the following mechanical disciplines: MILLWRIGHT

  • Must be willing to meet the following requirements:
    • Work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot dusty/dirty around hazardous chemicals noise heavy machinery elevated working surfaces and confined spaces (with proper safety training and safety protection)
    • Undergo technical online testing interview and a formal hands-on assessment of skills
    • Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment
    • Undergo an job related health assessment as a condition of employment
    • Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment
    • Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
    • Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification
    • Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
    • Wear required safety equipment

The Job You Will Perform:

This position will assist journeymen-level mechanical maintenance technicians in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently. Our world class Global Manufacturing Training program provides paid hands-on experiences and classroom instruction in order to prepare you for your next promotion

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Install machine and equipment according to lay-out plan blueprints and other drawings
  • Align machines and equipment using hoists jacks hand tools dial indicators and laser alignment equipment
  • Install machinery new and existing equipment
  • Repair and lubricate machine and equipment
  • Refurbish/maintain valves pumps gear boxes bearings agitators conveyors turbines paper machines lime kiln
  • Measure for bearing clearance and shaft diameters
  • Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues
  • Fabricate structural materials as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Candidates will have:

  • Associates degree or certification(s) in any of the following mechanical disciplines: MILLWRIGHT MACHINIST WELDING or PIPEFITTING
  • At least five (5) years of work experience in any two of the following mechanical disciplines: MILLWRIGHT MACHINIST WELDING or PIPEFITTING
  • Relevant work experience in an industrial environment.
