What you will do

Perform inspection testing and maintenance/repair of Wet Dry Pre-Action and Deluge Sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA and State of Department of Health. Candidate should have the ability to accurately discern and document deficiencies found during aninspection.

How you will do it

Perform routine inspections testing service of life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers product lines.

Attention to detail with the ability to communicate with employees employers customers and authorities having jurisdiction both written and verbally is desired.

Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.

Learn to complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hard copy.

Input retrieve and archive inspection documentation program via the laptop computer.

Make minor repairs and programming changes while under the direct authorized supervision.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required

Four or more years of documented experience in sprinkler system inspections.

NICET certification or the ability to obtain it within 3 months of hire (training provided by JCI).

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

Four or more years of documented experience in sprinkler system inspections.

NICET certification or the ability to obtain it within 3 months of hire (training provided by JCI).

Ability to obtain and maintain any licenses required by national state or local codes.

Experience using hand tools and a multimeter.

Experience troubleshooting systems and performing repairs.

Able to carry and move equipment and tools up to 70 lbs.

Work in challenging environments including ladders scaffolding lifts up to 40 feet ducts crawl spaces and above ceilings.

Available for flexible hours including nights and weekends occassionally.

Willing to travel out of town for training.

Demonstrates strong customer service.

Follows all safety guidelines and procedures.

Strong organizational skills positive attitude and quick learner.

Preferred

Knowledge of fire pumps backflows and standpipes is a plus.

Experience with wet dry pre-action deluge and foam systems

Backflow certification

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20.67 - $28.85 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education experience knowledgeskills and abilities of the applicant internal equity location and alignment with market data.)
