Tink delivering Open Banking Solutions as a part of Visa is building an open banking platform that enables banks fintech and startups to develop data-driven financial services. Through one API Tink allows customers to access aggregated financial data initiate payments enrich transactions and build personal finance management tools. Tink connects to more than 3400 banks that reach over 250 million bank customers across Europe & US. Our solutions are ready-to-go products each developed to solve specific problems and bring value to both businesses and their customers.

As part of the initiative we are building Visas Open Banking engineering team in Bangaloredesigned from the ground up to be AI-first. Every engineer in this team will work in close collaboration with Generative AI agents as development companions leveraging Visas extensive portfolio of AI models tools and experimentation platforms. This AI-augmented approach will supercharge every stage of the engineering lifecyclefrom solution design and code generation to testing deployment monitoring and continual service improvementenabling us to deliver innovative high-quality connectivity solutions at unprecedented speed and scale.

Role Overview

As a Sr Consultant Software Engineer in this team you will:

• Develop and design advanced end-to-end architect solutions that are robust and scalable considering integrations with other solutions across the internal technical ecosystem
• Actively contribute to product quality improvements valuable service technology and new business flows in diverse agile squads
• Make a difference on a global or local scale through mentorship and continued learning opportunities
• Build high-performance scalable APIs integrating with both documented and undocumented banking interfaces.
• Co-develop integrations / features side-by-side with GenAI agents to dramatically increase speed-to-market and code quality.
• Operate in a true DevOps modelowning build deploy and maintain responsibilities in the cloud.
• Continuously experiment with Visas rich portfolio of Generative AI models (transformers LLMs GANs VAEs multimodal models) and cutting-edge AI tools for production and innovation.
• Deliver new features on a rapid cadence (every few days) with end-to-end accountability.

What You Will Do

• Generative AI Leadership & Architecture
  • Demonstrate ownership of AIpowered product features from concept to production including model selection finetuning and integration into scalable systems.
  • Lead proof of concept initiatives to validate new AI capabilities before scaling.
  • Partner with GenAI agents for design code generation refactoring and automated testing.
  • Experiment in Visas AI sandbox where multiple GenAI models and frameworks are available for employee-driven innovation.
  • Apply Generative AI models to complex API integration challenges anomaly detection and intelligent automation.
• Open Banking Integrations
  • Work directly with product owners to gather and refine requirements across products adding and taking into account existing tools and solutions across the organization.
  • Provide domain expertise on the development of technical documentation of solutions and contributes to standard processes in technical documentation as needed
  • Build components integrating with banks APIs to aggregate and enrich consumer financial data.
  • Handle high-load systems with stringent uptime requirements.
  • Work with Visas Tink technologies stack: Java JavaScript AWS Kubernetes Docker SQL Datadog and much more.
• Cloud-Native DevOps
  • Own end-to-end delivery: design build deploy monitor and maintain services in AWS/Kubernetes/Docker environments.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines infrastructure-as-code and automated observability using Datadog and related tooling.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure high availability and operational excellence.
• Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Contribute to AI-first engineering culturesharing learnings from model experimentation and leveraging AI engineering assistants.
  • Your DNA would include following and creating software best practices and processes
  • Present technical solutions capabilities considerations and features in business terms. Effectively communicate status issues and risks in a precise and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with senior technical staff and Product Managers to identify document plan contingency track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.
  • Youll lead meeting and discussions with cross-functional and non-technical teams

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Sr Consultant Software Engineer with experience of building innovative and scalable products. You understand the trade-offs of speed vs quality on technical decisions and look at problems from different angles. You also invest time in your own and the teams development to build up your overall knowledge.

We would like you to have:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 12-16 years of Software Development Experience or a Masters with at least 10-16 years of Software Development Experience.
• Experience in evaluating and integrating multiple Generative AI architectures (transformers LLM ensembles multimodal pipelines GANs VAEs) into diverse business contexts.
• Rich Experience of prompt engineering and tooling orchestration for AI agents in enterprise environments ensuring reproducibility and compliance.
• Proven track record of experimenting with and benchmarking multiple AI models in sandbox environments to select optimal solutions for production.
• Strong and proven record of leading technical architecture for new systems and enhancing and modernizing legacy systems
• Proven productiongrade experience in leading technical teams End-to-End for on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that conform to requirements conform to the architectural vision and comply with all applicable standards.
• Extensive experience working with Java/J2EE
• Experience with cloud-native DevOps:
  • AWS Kubernetes Docker CI/CD pipelines infrastructure-as-code
• Experience in agile product-centric environments with rapid iteration cycles.
• Experience with Agile and Test-Driven Development methodology.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving ability.
• Ability to present complex ideas in a clear concise way.

Nice-to-have:

• Operational excellence & incident response experience.
• Financial API integration experience.
• Experience mentoring engineers in AI-assisted development.
