What Youll Do
- Conduct policy research analyze data and create maps using GIS to support planning initiatives.
- Assist in public stakeholder and Indigenous engagement efforts by designing materials and participating in community meetings.
- Help prepare planning reports such as Official Plans Zoning By-law Amendments and site plans.
- Work alongside engineers architects and environmental specialists on integrated projects.
- Prepare graphics presentations and technical memos for clients and stakeholders to communicate planning solutions effectively.

Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelors degree or higher in Planning Engineering Humanities or a related field with the intent to continue pursuing studies after the internship unless graduating.
- Candidates must have completed two (2) years of study in their program.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to various communities for face-to-face engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference may be given to those pursuing a masters degree in a related field.
What Were Looking For
- Someone curious adaptable and eager to handle a diverse range of projects.
- Strong communication skills with a knack for visual storytelling.
- Experience with GIS is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is also beneficial.
- An interest in Indigenous-led community planning is a bonus.
