This role is part of theDefense and Systems Productivity Organization which is focused on driving cost optimization and continuous improvement across the T700 family of engines. The team collaborates with product line engineering sourcing VCP lab and production shops to deliver cost-out projects while mitigating future cost risks.

Role Overview

TheT700 Cost Leaderwill be responsible for managing the pipeline of cost idea generation and execution for the T700 family of engines. This role will focus on identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce material and conversion costs while ensuring cost risks are mitigated. The cost leader will collaborate across multiple functions including product line engineering sourcing VCP lab and production shops to evaluate execute and implement part cost-out projects.

Additionally the cost leader will own the daily operating and reporting rhythms for the designated P&L participate in PCB and deal reviews and ensure cost impacts are effectively communicated. By applying lean principles and problem-solving techniques the cost leader will drive corrective actions and continuous improvement within the Defense and Systems productivity organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Pipeline Management: Own the pipeline for cost idea generation and execution for the T700 family of engines.
• Cost Reduction: Identify and communicate opportunities to reduce material and conversion costs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product line engineering sourcing VCP lab and production shops to evaluate execute and implement part cost-out projects.
• Risk Mitigation: Develop strategies to mitigate future cost risks while implementing cost-out initiatives.
• Operational Reporting: Manage daily operating and reporting rhythms for the designated P&L.
• Deal Reviews: Participate in PCB and deal reviews to ensure cost impacts are understood and effectively communicated.
• Lean and Problem-Solving: Apply lean principles and problem-solving techniques to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement within the Defense and Systems productivity organization.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in product management.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing finance shop operations or product management.
• Compliance: This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e. U.S. citizens permanent residents and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

• Technical Expertise: Gas turbine design and component manufacturing experience.
• Process Knowledge: Understanding of the GE Aerospace deal review process.

• Problem-Solving: Strong execution and facilitation skills for problem-solving.
• Cost Management: Deep understanding of cost drivers and cost reduction strategies.

• Lean Mindset: Demonstrated experience applying lean principles and driving continuous improvement.
• Education: Masters degree is a plus.

The base pay range for this position is $00.00 USD Annual The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
