• Permanent part time (0.6 FTE) 24 hours per week

• Position Hours: Tuesday Friday 8:30am to 3pm

About the role

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant to join our team at Dunedin Hospital. We are looking for a motivated and personable individual to support our patients therapy and discharge planning alongside Allied Health clinicians in inpatient setting. You will work with and under the direction of a diverse team including Social Workers Speech and Language Therapists Dietitians Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

Please note that this role may require you to do some weekend work so flexibility is essential.

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:

• An outgoing and friendly manner comfortable interacting with patients both in person and on the phone.
• Ability to run groups or communicate effectively to audiences.
• A positive team spirit and eagerness to learn new skills.
• Initiative and the ability to work independently.
• Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
• Clear understanding and demonstration of privacy boundaries.

You will need to be adaptable and flexible to work effectively with your clients and within a dynamic health environment.
