ROLE TITLE: SUPERVSIOR QUALITY CONTROL

DEPARTMENT: QUALITY CONTROL

REPORTS TO: SENIOR MANAGER QUALITY CONTROL

HOURS: 8:00 16:30

Working with the Quality Control team to provide supervision and lab scheduling to applicable Quality Control employees ensuring efficient laboratory testing while strictly following applicable guidelines current compendia methods and sites procedures.

Lead OOS/OOT investigations and initiate CAPA to reduce human error. Provide training and development to quality control employees. Ensure employees are following safe practices while working in laboratory.

As a participate leader implement continuous improvement opportunities and cost reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise employees to ensure efficient operation of analytical testing while strictly following applicable guidelines current compendia methods and sites procedures. Provide vision and guidance to all Quality Control personnel in the area of occupational health safety and wellness.
  • Evaluate laboratory has enough qualified instrumentations resources and chemicals are available based on the forecast. Support employees and SMEs with technical advice and assistance to ensure the effective and timely troubleshooting of methods and instrument problems.
  • Ensure that employees are using current/updated revision of test procedures compendia and specification by actively reviewing/monitoring/updating in-house procedures compendia guidelines and specification as per predefine intervals.
  • Support metrology group for instrument qualification and trouble shooting. Provide training to quality control employees related to cGMPs instrumentation software data integrity ERP systems SOPs and test methods.
  • Coordinate with other department/contract lab for OOS/OOT results and take lead on the investigations within establish timeframe.
  • Approve procedures test methods specification and investigations. Oversees safe and efficient operation of Quality Control department.
  • Ensure lab is audit ready every day and employees are following good documentation good laboratory practices (GLP) good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish employees performance related goals conduct periodic review and provide support/coaching to support their growth and development.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience in the Chemistry or other life science-based industry preferred
  • 3 years of relevant experience in a leadership role.
  • 10 years of laboratory experience.
  • Experience in LIMS laboratory instrumentation and software mainly Empower.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PPT).
  • Strong working knowledge of Non-Conformances Investigation CAPA OOS Laboratory Investigation and Auditing
  • Strong technical writing skills and familiarity with pharmaceutical best practices benchmarks and latest regulatory guidelines preferred.
