Job Summary
The Development/Database Specialist is responsible for management aspects and oversight of donor database to include performance data integrity and security. This position will initiate and maintain effective tracking systems; provide donation and prospect entry acknowledgements appeal solicitations and output of analytical reports. Coordinate and assist with marketing initiatives to include website updates newsletter PSAs and events.
Supports and is responsible for incorporating into job performance the Frederick Health (FH) mission vision core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.
Example of Essential Functions:
- Manage donor database administration to include security database clean up maintenance and global updates to constituent records.
- Audits database for integrity of information to include bereavement volunteer donor and prospects constituent records.
- Produce and provide processes for creating new constituent records.
- Research ways to improve functionality of database as it relates to inter-departmental.
- Track and process all donations including online credit card transactions.
- Run batches/send deposits to Finance/month-end reports to Accounting
- Maintain records for off-site financial files.
- Maintains the In-Lieu of notebook enters in-lieu of information into database.
- Code KHH patients in database from final HMB list.
- Check daily obits against database
- Provides 6-week follow up letters to next of kin or power of attorney.
- Apply for annual Charity Campaigns. Maintain proper records of all.
- Prepares all donor acknowledgements.
- Develop and run queries as needed included but not limited to newsletter appeals Ambassador Club and KHH monthly mailings.
- Prepares monthly mailings for appeals Ambassador Club KH and pledges.
- Runs query and audits data file for annual donor report
- Produces donor analysis reports
- Website updates to include calendar events and fundraisers
- Coordinates all aspects of quarterly newsletter
- Order all promotional items
- Helps with culture and philanthropy/marketing initiatives and other projects as necessary.
- Stays informed of department/hospital events by reading minutes or attending staff meetings 100% of time.
- Interacts in a calm courteous and professional manner aligned with our standards of behavior.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail accuracy and dependability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Minimum Education Training and Experience Required:
- Bachelors degree preferred with 2-5 years in development operations or related field.
- One year minimum experience with databases preferably Raisers Edge.
