TEGNA the parent company of 64 television stations in 51 U.S. marketsis looking for an innovative experienced television producer to develop newscasts forthe companys OTT streaming is a strategic priorityfor the companyas we evolve to meet the needs of audiences seekingtimelyinformation on breakingand developing news and severe weather on the platform they need it most.

This role requires the skills of a traditional linear broadcastproducerwith an affinity or interest inshowproduction. It will be deliveredexclusivelytocustomers with connected televisions and apps. Responsibilities:
Use your natural curiosity to pitch compelling stories and expert interviews.
Inspire and motivate colleagues while leading by example.
Push ourstreamsto be filled with context and stand out from the competition.
Show off your creativity and storytelling skills.
Create stories of various lengths across multiple platforms for targeted audiences.
Meet daily deadlines.
Combine livefeeds graphics compelling video and emotional sound to create an engaging experience.
Coordinate with reporters and/or anchors across the country covering various news events
Booth continuous coverage on our live streams for breaking news and community events.
Regularly explorenew ideasfollowing careful discussions with supervisors.
Edit together video specials/re-racked content that will work for VOD purposes.
Use data analytics to help shape the content of your show.
Challengethetraditional wayof doing things.
Passion for breaking news andgo-getterattitude.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree preferred in journalismcommunicationsor related field.
Minimum 2 years of news producing experience.
Top-notch communication skills.
Solid journalistic judgment and a news philosophy that emphasizesaccuratefairand unique content.
Understanding of the tenets of professional journalism.
Skills in producing engaging content-driven newscasts and digital content.
Organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines.
Ability to calmly handlelive breaking news situations and changing events.
Experience usingVMix(or similar system) ENPS and desktop video editingsoftware such asEdius strongly preferred.
Desire to live and work in-person inCharlotte North Carolina.
