Job Description

Title: F&I Income Development and Performance Trainer
Reports to: Executive VP of Sales
Department: Training and Development


Position Summary
The F&I Income Development & Performance Trainer is responsible for designing delivering and continually improving high-impact training programs for dealership Sales and F&I departments. This role focuses on driving measurable increases in product penetration PVR compliance customer experience and overall F&I performance across RoadVantages dealer partners.
The Trainer will create and deliver curriculum for RoadVantages F&I School Advanced F&I Leadership Training Sales Training Programs Sales Management & Leadership Development and Advanced Objection Handling. This position requires deep automotive retail experienceincluding hands-on dealership operations sales and F&I backgroundas well as the ability to translate that experience into modern engaging adult-learning content.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Curriculum Development
  • Build refine and deliver training content for:
    • RoadVantage F&I School (foundations menu presentation compliance product integration)
    • Advanced F&I (income development advanced menu strategies trade-craft F&I leadership)
    • Sales Training (guest experience needs discovery product presentation closing techniques)
    • Sales Management & Leadership Development (coaching accountability process management)
    • Leadership Training for dealership leaders and RoadVantage agents
    • Comprehensive Product Knowledge of all RoadVantage products
    • Advanced Overcoming Objections classes with real-world role-playing and modern sales psychology
  • Develop digital and instructor-led training modules playbooks job aids and e-learning content.
  • Work with internal teams (sales claims marketing compliance) to ensure training materials are accurate current and aligned with RoadVantages NO HEAT service philosophy.
Dealer Performance & Field Development
  • Conduct on-site dealership visits to observe performance identify gaps and develop customized training plans.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to Sales Managers Finance Managers and Sales Teams to improve:
    • Product penetration
    • PVR and profit-per-copy
    • Menu presentation and process execution
    • Customer satisfaction and transparency
  • Partner with RoadVantage agents to support dealer development new product launches and conversion strategies.
  • Deliver ongoing virtual training to reinforce skills and maintain high performance levels.
Program Reporting & Performance Measurement
  • Track training results and performance metrics including penetration lift F&I PVR increases and training participation rates.
  • Provide detailed reporting and recommendations to internal leadership and agent partners.
  • Continuously refine training curriculum based on dealership feedback results and industry trends.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Automotive retail experience is required including background in:
    • F&I Manager or Director
    • Sales Manager / GSM
    • Sales operations desking or dealership leadership
  • 5 years of experience in dealership training F&I development or OEM/agent performance coaching preferred.
  • Deep understanding of dealership operations F&I processes retail sales processes menu presentation and compliance.
  • Strong platform skills with proven ability to present to both small teams and large groups.
  • Ability to design curriculum build engaging content and utilize adult-learning methodologies.
  • Excellent communication facilitation and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel nationally to support dealer partners and RoadVantage initiatives.
