JOB SUMMARY:
Join Ohio CAT as aShop Service Technicianand become a vital part of a team that keeps Ohios construction and power equipment running this role you will:
- Diagnose and repair generators engines air compressors chillers heaters & air conditioning units.
- Troubleshoot drive-train electrical and hydraulic systems
- Perform routine maintenance and manufacturer updates
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers and team members
COMPETENCIES:
General technical service skills mechanical aptitude or experience with construction or power equipment are required and strong DC electrical and machine electronic system knowledge is crucial. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures as necessary to complete manufacturers updates. The candidate must also be organized self-motivated able to work without direct supervision and work flexible/Shift hours. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required and strong computer and software skills are a must.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical training or college coursework (preferred)
- Experience:Prior experience in generator and engine service and repair
- Skills & Traits:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical service skills
- Proficiency in DC electrical systems and machine electronics
- Ability to read and apply technical manuals and service bulletins
- Self-motivated organized and able to work independently
- Excellent communication and computer skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting/Carrying 40 lbs. Lift/Carry and 50lb pull
- Repetitive Motions: Frequent movements requiring the use of hands wrists and fingers.
- Dexterity Normal
- Frequent standing/sitting up and down stairs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
