Logan Health Whitefish has an opportunity for an Registered Nurse to join their team as a Special Care Unit (SCU) & Medical/Surgical float!
This is a unique floating position will primarily be working in the Whitefish Special Care Unit (SCU) and will also be cross-trained to work in our Medical/Surgical Unit. This role will work 50/50 in each department.

About our Special Care Unit (SCU):
Our unit is a focused 4-bed unit providing intensive specialized care for adult patients who require more monitoring and support than a general medical or surgical floor but who do not need ICU-level care. We care for patients recovering after surgery those needing cardiac monitoring or advanced drips like insulin or alcohol withdrawal management and occasionally pediatric post-op patients. Staffed by a dedicated team of nurses the SCU combines teamwork and autonomy to ensure the best outcomes through vigilant detailed care.
About our Medical/Surgical Unit:
Our 14-bed Medical Surgical unit offers a fast-paced and collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional care to adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical needs. With a strong surgical population including joint replacements orthopedic procedures and general and urologic surgeries our team works closely with providers therapists and hospitalists to ensure continuity and excellence in care.

Able to be flexible and to adapt to the fast-paced and ever-changing needs of the unit
Possess strong critical thinking skills to manage complex patients during intense and prolonged care
Able to work both collaboratively with the team and independently when needed
A motivated lifelong learner eager to develop new skills and deepen clinical expertise
What youll need to have:
Current Montana RN license or a multi state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required. BSN degree preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in similar position preferred.
AHA ACLS and PALS certifications
ENCP certification obtained within 6 months of hire
NRP certification (desired)
Possess knowledge of professional nursing theory medical terminology and principles of professional nursing practice to administer and evaluate patient care.
Critical Care experience is preferred but not required.

Shift:
Night Shift - 12 Hours (United States of America)Schedule: Full-time 36 hours per week 12-hour night shifts.
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
