Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) PACU
Location: Hackensack NJ 07601
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 410 Hour Shifts 9:00 AM 7:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Weekends/Holidays/Call: None
Job Summary
The PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and supporting physicians in delivering high-quality post-anesthesia and critical care. The RN will assess plan implement and document nursing care based on individualized patient needs while ensuring safe and evidence-based practice throughout the care process.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and determine priorities for care.
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
Assist physicians with procedures and patient care activities.
Provide therapeutic nursing interventions based on patient condition and medical diagnosis.
Monitor and manage patient status throughout recovery.
Document all care in accordance with clinical standards and guidelines.
Advocate for and support evidence-based practice.
Deliver patient-centered care aligned with the professional nursing practice model.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
2 recent years of critical care and PACU experience required
Telemetry experience and Telemetry certification required
Strong background in cardiac/tele monitoring
Ability to function as a hybrid nurse in ICU Pre-op and PACU settings
Must have at least 1 year of experience in an acute hospital environment
Preferred Experience
3 years PACU experience
Education
Required: ASN
Preferred: BSN
Licensure & Certifications
Active NJ RN license or Multistate Compact RN license
BLS AHA
ACLS AHA
PALS
Telemetry Certification
Position Details
Shift: 9:00 AM7:30 PM
Hours: 40 per week
Structure: No weekends no holidays no on-call
Clinical Environment: PACU ICU and Pre-op (hybrid model)
