Job Summary
Locum Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine
Join our dynamic team at a state-of-the-art medical facility in Elkader Iowa! We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner to meet the healthcare needs of our community. Our facility is dedicated to providing exceptional care with modern amenities including a full-service emergency department and inpatient capabilities. Youll be pivotal in delivering high-quality medical services during your locum tenure.
Job Responsibilities:
- Function as the sole provider covering the Emergency Department and Med/Surg units.
- Manage inpatient responsibilities at the facility.
- Coordinate with a team of 2 physicians and 1 other Advanced Practice Provider.
- Support nursing staff including 1 provider and 2 RNs.
- Perform emergency care and skilled care procedures.
- Utilize medical imaging and laboratory services for patient evaluation.
- Maintain an efficient workflow with an average of 3.6 patients in the ER daily.
- Document patient care using EPIC Electronic Medical Records.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified - REQUIRED
- Active Iowa License - REQUIRED
- DEA and CSR in hand - REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice history with no background issues - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Iowa
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine
- DEA registration and Iowa Controlled Substance Registration
