The opportunity

Database Administration

• Install configure and upgrade Oracle and MS SQL Server databases.Create and manage database instances schemas and security roles.
• Perform proactive monitoring performance tuning and optimization of database environments.

Backup & Recovery

• Implement and maintain backup restore and disaster recovery strategies (e.g. RMAN Always On Log Shipping or third-party tools).
• Regularly test recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.

Performance & Optimization

• Analyze execution plans indexes and queries to enhance performance. Optimize storage and memory usage for efficiency.

High Availability & Replication

• Manage clustering replication and failover solutions (Oracle RAC Data Guard SQL Always On).
• Monitor uptime and ensure SLA compliance

Security & Compliance

• Apply patches and security updates to maintain compliance with IT policies
• Implement access controls encryption and auditing.

Collaboration & Support

• Work with development teams to support database design and query optimization.
• Provide L2/L3 support for production incidents and troubleshooting.

Documentation & Automation

• Maintain proper documentation for processes configurations and procedures.
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripts or tools
