As the Sales & Business Development Manager for the Ground Support Division USA you will drive commercial performance and operational excellence for the this role you provide both strategic and hands-on support to BSSRs and CSSRs ensuring they have the leadership tools and resources needed to achieve aggressive sales targets and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. You streamline day-to-day operations enhance internal collaboration and cultivate a high-performing team capable of exceeding customer expectations. Through strong customer and stakeholder engagement you will position Sandvik as the partner of choice for ground support solutions across the U.S. mining industrydelivering measurable value and sustainable growth.
Leadership & Operational Direction
Oversee daily sales operations optimize processes and foster collaboration between sales and support teams to exceed customer expectations.
Provide hands-on commercial support throughout sales and tender activities.
Guide product forecasting and pipeline visibility to ensure accurate planning and demand alignment.
Lead talent development initiatives to build capability strengthen succession and drive team performance.
Business Development & Market Growth
Identify qualify and develop new market opportunities; support Sales Reps with account planning and engagement strategies.
Initiate and coordinate customer trials of existing and new Ground Support products.
Monitor and analyze market trends and competitive activity to inform strategy and drive proactive business decisions.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Analyze customer applications and incumbent product usage; recommend alternative solutions that enhance safety productivity and total lifecycle cost.
Support commercial negotiations in collaboration with the Business Line Manager and Sales Reps.
Build and maintain influential relationships with key mining industry stakeholders to drive brand preference and market presence.
Internal & External Collaboration
Coordinate relationships and processes with internal and external suppliers promoting a unified culture guided by Sandvik Core Values.
Strengthen collaboration across Sandvik divisions to drive cross-divisional initiatives and integrated product offerings.
Product & Market Advocacy
Develop and deliver compelling presentations on Sandvik Ground Support solutions at targeted industry events and conferences.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
Provide insight to R&D to ensure product development aligns with customer needs and delivers maximum business value.
Champion a strong EHS culture by adhering to modeling and promoting Sandvik safety policies and best practices.
10 years of experience in the mining industry within sales commercial or related functions
Proven success leading sales and/or operational teams
Technical understanding of ground stabilization products strongly preferred
Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Engineering or a related field
