Responsibilities
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Assistant Medical Assistant LPN or other clinically based patient care experience (highly preferred)
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Certified Nursing Assistant Surgical Tech LPN or Bachelors degree program in a pre-med or pre-physicians assistant track (required)
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to work well within a team
- Professionalism and strong customer service skills is a must
- Able to communicate with doctor clearly and concisely
- Able to communicate with patients and co-workers in a professional and friendly manner
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds stand for prolonged periods (i.e. an hour at a time) and use a step stool
Licensure/Certifications/Education
Education and Experience:
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program Certified Nursing Assistant program or completion of a bachelors degree program in the pre-med or pre-physician assistant track preferred.
- CPR certified preferred.
- 1-2 years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant Certified Nursing Assistant or other clinical patient care experience preferred.
- Previous experience in Dermatology is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Moderate amount of talking bending twisting reaching and balancing.
- Use of hands and fingers.
- Talking and listening in person and on the telephone.
- Handling of materials such as paper supplies etc.
- Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
- Risk of exposure to infectious organisms and the possibility of injury due to chemicals and sharp objects.
Full time employees (defined as regularly working at least 30 hours per week) are eligible for the following benefits:
