Role description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate level Chartered Building Surveyor looking to elevate their career and become a key member of our thriving Technical Due Diligence (TDD) & Building Surveying team based in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects across Ireland with the exciting potential to collaborate on assignments throughout the UK and across Europe.

The core responsibilities will largely relate to leading and managing transactional based successful candidate will be expected to be technically excellent and have a broad range and experience of commercial surveying / consultancy including Technical Due Diligence (TDD). Additionally the candidate should be able to commission manage both single and multiple asset instructions.

The job will involve a mixed and varied workload and be capable of balancing a number of different instructions simultaneously whilst often working as part of a larger commission team and supporting them to achieve exceptional outcomes for our clients.

Role accountabilities:

  • The key focus of our TDD advice and reporting is to identify key risks the severity and quantification of these risks along with recommendations for mitigation. Our advice needs to ensure that our clients achieve maximum value from their built assets with a clear understanding of role includes predominantly Technical Due Diligence along with some Project Management across a range of building types although largely commercial.
  • The position includes a high level of responsibility and accountability within a successful and high performing team. You be expected to be a role model for technical delivery and client focused outcomes.
  • To manage risk in service delivery and identify and lead improvements to service delivery.
  • To demonstrate organic revenue growth and support the development and implementation of the our business plan for our TDD and Building Surveying service lines.
  • To manage and undertake professional technical consultancy commissions including Technical Due Diligence condition surveys.
  • To effectively communicate ensuring all information is available for the successful implementation and completion of projects.
  • To liaise with the Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure efficient financial control resulting in a cost effective service.
  • To represent the company in a professional and diligent manner.
  • To ensure the Sector Director has quantified information on the progress of each contract on a regular basis.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Building Surveying and MRICS qualified
  • Excellent technical ability.
  • Multi-discipline experience.
  • A broad thinker who can take a global view and has an inherent ability to deliver successfully.
  • Ability to manage project risk.
  • Ability to be flexible to meet tight project deadlines.
  • Manage quality standards to ensure high quality output.
  • Understand the transaction process including requirements of funders.
  • Understanding of both technical and legislative requirements along with a good commercial awareness.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills enabling strong working relationships with clients
