Summary of Job Duties:
Works under the general supervision of the Chief of Police and the direct supervision of a Patrol Sergeant. Responsible for enforcement of traffic criminal laws and parking regulations. This position is governed by the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training and UAMS policies.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma / GED
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a valid Arkansas drivers license
- At least 2 years of law enforcement experience
- Be certified by the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training as a Police Officer and possess a General Certificate
- Ability to walk a minimum of 8 to 12 miles in a 12-hour shift
- Ability to climb stairwells
