Unique Venues Birmingham (UVB) is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of all technical elements across our diverse portfolio of conferences events and hospitality activities within The REP and the Library of Birmingham.
In this key role you will manage and coordinate all technical operations ensuring exceptional customer service high-quality event delivery and safe working practices. You will lead a team of Technical Managers technicians freelancers and casual staff acting as the primary technical contact for clients throughout the planning and delivery process.
Working closely with the Sales & Events Office and the Hospitality Operations Manager you will oversee technical scheduling budgeting equipment management resource planning and the safe set-up running and de-rig of events. You will also advise on technical elements during sales and planning stages support cross-departmental communication and drive efficiency and profitability through innovation effective resource use and the up-selling of technical services.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Technical Project Manager with exceptional planning scheduling and administrative skills. Youll bring a positive professional attitude excellent timekeeping and strong reliability. Flexibility to work evenings weekends and occasional anti-social hours is essential.
You will have extensive experience delivering live events and managing clients contractors budgets and technical resources. Strong hands-on knowledge of AV lighting sound hybrid/virtual conferencing platforms and health & safety is required. Experience in customer-focused environments and an interest in theatre are highly desirable.

40hrs a week - 5 days out of 7 .
Salary
37000
Holidays
25 days per year rising to 25 with service plus bank holidays.
The holiday year runs from 1 September to 31 August each year.
NoticePeriod
The notice period will be 3 months.
Location of Work
Your main place of work will be UVB in Birmingham but you may be required to work permanently or temporarily at other locations locally. You may be asked to work temporarily in other locations in the UK. Your role may involve some international travel.
