Wayman Education is recruiting a SEN TA for a primary school in Wandsworth. The SEN TA will work closely with the SENCo and class teams to deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions support access to learning and contribute to personalised education plans. This SEN TA role starts January 2026 with induction and handover sessions prior to January 2026 to ensure the SEN TA can begin the spring term effectively.

About the role
The SEN TA will support pupils with a range of needs including cognition and learning communication and interaction and social emotional and mental health needs. The SEN TA will deliver structured interventions support during whole-class lessons assist with personal care where required and help facilitate access to therapeutic Wandsworth the SEN TA will join a supportive team focused on inclusion and measurable progress.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver targeted interventions and record their impact to inform next steps.
- Support pupils throughout the school day to access learning and social opportunities.
- Adapt resources and scaffold tasks to meet individual learning needs across Wandsworth.
- Liaise with the SENCo external therapists and parents to implement agreed strategies.
- Maintain accurate records contribute to reviews and support transition planning.
Person specification
- Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs and an understanding of differentiated provision.
- Good communication skills patient approach and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Organised committed to inclusive practice and available to start January 2026 in Wandsworth.
