Role Purpose
Were looking for a creative and strategic Designer based in Mulgrave to help define how Australians see and connect with BYD and soon Denza. Bringing each brand and model to life across digital print in-showroom and paid media channels in stills and video formats. As part of the Marketing team youll translate strategy into visually compelling assets that drive engagement elevate brand perception and support national and dealership marketing initiatives.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the visual language of two forward-thinking automotive brands from building the overarching creative direction of each brand to crafting distinctive personalities for each model that capture attention and drive engagement in a crowded marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce visual assets for campaigns social media digital platforms and print.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts and deliver end-to-end artwork and campaign assets.
- Build and maintain brand templates visual systems and digital asset libraries for consistent use across Australia.
- Ensure all creative outputs align with brand guidelines including typography imagery tone and positioning.
- Prepare print-ready and digital files that meet technical specifications and production standards.
- Stay up to date with design trends and contribute to the ongoing evolution of each brands visual identity.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 35 years experience as a designer ideally within consumer lifestyle retail or automotive sectors.
- Creative Expertise: Strong conceptual visual and communication skills with a portfolio showcasing creativity and versatility across live projects and campaigns.
- Multi-Channel Design: Proven ability to develop creative across eDM social digital OOH and print channels with a solid understanding of production specs for both digital and print.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign Photoshop Illustrator After Effects Acrobat) HTML5 and DAM platforms. Experience in motion design and video editing (motion graphics sound mixing and media dispatch setup).
- Strategic Application: Strong grasp of how creative should adapt across channels and audiences including localisation of global assets for local markets multilingual or web/UX environments.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Organised proactive team player with strong stakeholder management skills across internal teams and agencies.
- Brand Stewardship: Familiarity with brand governance and asset management systems ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Industry Awareness: Knowledge or personal interest in the automotive or new energy vehicle (NEV) industry.
- A proactive self-starter who takes ownership of their function and seeks continuous improvement.
