Job Overview/Summary:
The Dialysis Patient Care Technician will support patients throughout their hemodialysis treatment ensuring safety comfort and adherence to established clinical protocols. This role requires strong attention to detail compassion and the ability to follow rigorous clinical procedures.
Responsibilities:

Assist with all aspects of patient dialysis treatment ensuring proper machine setup and operation.

Monitor patients during treatment and document observations accurately.

Mix acids and bicarbonate solutions according to protocol.

Maintain a clean safe and compliant treatment environment.
-
Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient care and respond to patient needs.
Primary Skills:

Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
-
Comfortable mixing dialysis-related solutions (acids and bicarbonate).
-
Strong attention to detail and protocol adherence.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director including demonstrated competency.
-
Completion of USRC hemodialysis theory and practice course within 8 weeks of hire.
-
CPR certification within 90 days of hire or per state requirement.
-
Patient Care Technician certification obtained within 18 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
-
Compliance with any additional state-specific requirements.
