Job Title: Data Center Technician

Location: Santa Clara CA

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician with strong hardware cabling and server provisioning skills. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day data center operations including server builds rack-and-stack activities network hardware installation troubleshooting and system provisioning. This role requires someone physically capable detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Rack build cable configure and provision servers.
Rack cable and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment.
Perform troubleshooting testing and quality assurance of server hardware.
Resolve hardware-related issues through ticketing systems in a professional manner.
Perform OS installations (Windows Server Linux Unix).
Travel to other locations as needed.
Work comfortably with physical requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand for extended periods including on ladders

Desired Experience

Experience installing and configuring Windows Server Linux and Unix operating systems.
Strong cabling knowledge including port mapping and understanding various cable types and their uses.
Solid understanding of hardware troubleshooting and logical problem-solving techniques.
Experience deploying Cisco Layer 2 devices (strong plus).
Basic understanding of RAID levels (plus).
Experience with Web Server and Database installations (plus).
Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Ability to multitask and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Minimum: High School Diploma
Basic knowledge of computer hardware assets components and peripherals.
