| Job Description: | The successful applicant for the Clinical Trial Interventionist will serve as a primary interventionist for a large behavioral clinical trial for the management of chronic pain. This includes working directly with older adult participants to screen schedule deliver an IRB-approved pain self-management intervention and accurately collect and enter data into data management systems. The interventionist will also serve as a liaison for participants and community stakeholders engage in community outreach activities for recruitment enrollment and retention of eligible adults follow IRB approved protocols to train new research staff and students and contribute to the promotion of human participant protections. The interventionist will work with the Clinical Research Coordinator I to prepare documents to the IRB and Safety Officer. Utilize essential regulatory documents for the research studies including federal state sponsor UF policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and intervention manuals. The interventionist will participate in research team meetings and assist with publications and presentations. |

| Required Qualifications: | Associates or Bachelors degree in a health profession (e.g. nursing pre-medicine etc.) public health or psychology; or an equivalent combination of health education and research experience. |

| Preferred: | EDUCATION & TRAINING: --Diploma Associate Bachelors or Masters degree in nursing. Active and unencumbered LPN or RN license in FL; or --Associate Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant health profession public health or psychology.
EXPERIENCE: Experience as a research assistant or interventionist in research clinical trials and/or academic medical settings. - A customer-service orientation and/or experience working with older adults and underserved communities - Clinical trials management
KNOWLEDGE: Familiar with regulations about research participant recruitment including human participants protection health studies and Institutional Review Board
SKILLS: Demonstrated expertise in clinical trials management systems survey tools such as REDCap and computer systems applications including Word for Windows TEAMS Excel SPSS Endnote Zoom.
ABILITIES: Excellent organization timeliness to meet deadlines strong communications skills attention to detail outcomes driven committed to learning and respectful and professional. Ability to plan execute and complete work assignments independently efficiently and accurately while working as part of a team in an interdisciplinary work environment. PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Able to carry small boxes and transport study supplies between locations.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Culturally sensitive skills working with Black/African American communities. |
