Position: Buffing Production Associate
Location: Waterbury CT
Department: Buffing
Shift: 1st Shift 6am - 2:30pm
JOB SUMMARY
This entry-level position works in the Buffing Department and is responsible for visually inspecting and removing finished parts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Properly removes all finished parts from the row.
- Consistently picks-out and remove defects from a moving line.
- Follows all standard work procedures.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Differentiates between scrap defects and re-run defects
- Packs finished parts efficiently
- Any other duties as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to use both hands to pick-up and manipulate small parts simultaneously
- Must be able to work overtime as needed sometimes on short notice or on weekends
- Capable of standing for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Can successfully work in a team environment
- Willing to take direction from others
- Ability to differentiate between different sizes shapes styles and colors
- Ability to read/set scales
