2 Months Contract with a Local Authority
Job Purpose
- To support the enhancement of standards and the reduction of achievement gaps for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) through effective curriculum approaches to learning and teaching. This role involves school-based consultancy planning training and quality assurance to ensure compliance and improvement across Enfield schools.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Provide school-based advice support and training to staff on SEND strategies.
- Organise and deliver central CPD sessions and monitor Additional Resource Provisions (ARPs).
- Lead projects with SENCOs LA teams Social Care and Health partners.
- Audit provision focusing on standards progress and quality of teaching and learning.
- Use data effectively to monitor impact and advise headteachers and senior leaders.
- Quality assure external training providers as appropriate.
Essential Experience Required
- Proven track record of successful teaching including experience with BME pupils and those with SEN.
- Management experience in school or LA SEN teams.
- Experience in developing delivering and evaluating CPD programs.
- Ability to interpret and analyse educational data and manage complex budgets.
- Experience in translating improvement plans into positive outcomes for schools and learners.
Essential Qualifications Required
- Qualified Teacher Status DfE
- A proven track record of successful teaching in school settings and with experience of working with BME pupils and pupils with SEN
- Management experience in school or LA teams in SEN
Additional Information to Note
- Working hours: 36 hours per week
- The role requires an Enhanced DBS & barred list check (Child & adult)
