MECHANICAL PIPING ESTIMATOR (Permanent)
Our client an established stable and well-known HVAC/Piping contracting company in WNY is looking to hire a Mechanical Piping Estimator to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to work on Industrial and Commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily estimating responsibilities contributing to the overall success of each project
- Review project specs RFPs and designs to identify specific estimating requirements
- Utilize estimating software when preparing take-offs for various piping/HVAC systems to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Create detailed estimating documents and spreadsheets for proposal packetsorganize and distribute to necessary personnel
- Create and maintain professional relationships with subcontractors engineers and vendors
- Review and evaluate a range of bids and quote to ensure competitive pricing for each project
- Collaborate with various team members communicating effectively when gathering project details understanding scope and developing complete/accurate estimates
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time direct hire
- 100% in-office/on-site; Mon-Fri 7:00AM 4:00PM
- Minimal travel: 90% in-office 10% on-site
- $75000 - $115000 annually depending on experience plus bonus potential
- Health insurance with Employer contribution Life Insurance 401k with match PTO
- 5-10 years of experience in Mechanical Construction Estimating
- Degree from college trade school or equivalent technical training required
- Knowledge of estimating software (AutoBID) and Microsoft Office
- Strong mathematical skills are required
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organization skills analytical and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Relocation not available
